Ready for Summer? Our Top 5 Tips For Glowing Skin.

As the sunshine sets in, days at the beach begin and that holiday feeling washes over us, it’s the time of year to unwind, hit reset and perhaps let our hair down a little…..

We spend more time outdoors, connecting with our nearest and dearest and enjoying the summer season of socialising.

We caught up with our Forme Founder and Managing Director Hady to get her top five tips for maintaining glowing skin all summer long (amongst days at the beach, and in-between glasses of rosé of course!)

 

  1. The ‘Every Three Hours’ Rule

Make SPF your BFF. We all know SPF is ultra-important during the summer season, but we often make the mistake of applying it once in the morning and never reapplying throughout the day. To keep skin protected, it’s important to reapply a layer every 2-3 hours. Keep a sunblock in your handbag or beach bag so you always have one on hand.

Uber Zinc by Synergie is wonderful for face protection and the Coola products are great for body sun protection.

 

  1. Up The Exfoliation

Exfoliation is anti-aging! It’s a must to include exfoliation in your morning routine throughout summer. It helps buff away dead skin cells to make way for new skin cells. Throughout summer, our skin is prone to all kinds of buildup from salt, sand and sunblock, so exfoliation is key to keep the skin clean and clear. Now is not the time however to try any aggressive peels as your skin can be more susceptible in the height of summer. Products with Vitamin A are also best used at night to treat the skin – as they can make your skin more sensitive. Lastly, if you’re going to shave your legs, make sure you do it at night to give your skin time to repair before diving into the ocean the next day!

  1. Hydration, Hydration, Hydration

We have heard it all before, but hydration is a big part of the recipe when it comes to glowing skin. Drinking lots of water and adding extra hydrating products into your skincare routine are both easy and effective ways to pump up the glow.
